EAA Chapter 1288
Membership Info

Join Us!

Membership in EAA Chapter 1288 is open to all interested parties. Dues are $12 per year (renewed in December) and cover your entire household.

Step One: Join EAA

As per the requirements of our Charter, proof of membership in EAA (at the national level) is required. If you are not yet a member of EAA (national), we can assist you with signing up at a meeting, you may sign up on the EAA Website, or you can call EAA at (800) 843-3612. Various types of memberships are available for individuals, families, and students.

You need not be a pilot or aircraft owner to join either EAA or Chapter 1288! Joining EAA has many benefits and is one of the best ways to stay "plugged in" to the exciting and vast world of recreational aviation, whether or not you're an active pilot. Both pilots and non-pilots enjoy membership in EAA and many of them also choose to further their participation by joining one or more of the various special-interest subgroups within EAA (aerobatics, warbirds, vintage aircraft, ultralights, etc.)

Step Two: Join EAA Chapter 1288

Guests and interested parties are always welcomed and encouraged to join us at Chapter 1288 events, including Regular Membership Meetings, Saturday Pancake Breakfasts, the annual Valkaria Air Fest, Young Eagles days, and other special events.

Join In Person...

Please visit one of the Monthly Meetings.

...Or, Mail It In!

If you can't make the next meeting but still want to join immediately (who wouldn't...) then you may mail a check for $12 made out to EAA 1288, Inc. to us at 2880 Greenbrooke St., Valkaria, FL 32950. Include your name, address, phone number, email address, and EAA number (if possible, please enclose a photocopy of your current EAA membership card as we have to verify the member's EAA memberships yearly). Also let us know what kind of aircraft you are working on, if any.

Step Three: Enjoy!

EAA is all about enjoying aviation, learning, and having fun! Like any organization, those who participate actively in activities will get the most benefits. Peruse this website and the EAA's site for a glimpse of the many aspects of aviation that you can become more a part of via your involvement in EAA!

Any Questions?

If you have any questions or comments about membership in the EAA or in Chapter 1288, please email the EAA 1288 Info Hotline and we'll be more than happy to talk to you!

Remember, you really only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape.
