EAA Chapter 1288
Chapter Officers

The Chapter 1288 Executive Committee is responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the Chapter. Officers are elected by the membership and serve for two years. Normally, the President and Secretary are elected in the same year, and the Vice-President and Treasurer are elected the next year, to preserve continuity through different administrations. Should an officer decide to leave office in the middle of his or her term, a replacement will be elected at the next monthly meeting to serve out the remainder of the term. Vacant positions may be filled by an officer in another elected position, in which case that person's now-vacant position will be filled by a special election. No formal term limits have been adopted at this time. All chapter members in good standing are eligible to run for office and to vote for club officers. Nominations are normally sought at the November and December monthly chapter meetings, with elections held during the December meeting.

There's also one other thing I would like to mention going to Jackson Hole if you've not been here before. Relatively short runway up here in the mountains, it's been snowing today we don't try and make a smooth landing here at Jackson Hole. We just put the aircraft on the runway very quickly and firmly, and go into full reverse and then use a heavy amount of braking make sure we stop in the first part of the runway. So just be aware of that. That's normal procedure for a mountain airport.
